To independently prepare the wood stain for wood, you need to take a regular jar of small jam. Scraps of iron shavings or small nails of such size that they fit in a can are also needed. You should send the iron in a can and pour vinegar on top of it.Leave for 5–6 days. Vinegar will get the color of the stain, but it can become either darker or lighter. It will depend on how long the iron will stay in the liquid. After the appearance of the shade, the iron must be pulled out of the jar and you can try to apply the stain on the desired surface.

When stirring, it is recommended to achieve a creamy liquid. When it turns out, you need to check whether such a concentration of the solution. If the effect of a store liquid is needed, it should be diluted as thin as possible.

Not everyone knows that the stain can be mixed. Even with such a large color palette, you can always find a certain shade. It should be borne in mind that even aqueous solutions of different brands have different odors, some give a little alcohol, and some - gouache.

• mixing mahogany and ebony, turns purple;
• mahogany and lemon when mixed becomes like a shade of maple;

• walnut and mountain ash give the color of mocha.
