Traditional material for the manufacture of furniture in general and kitchen cabinets in particular are wood and its derivatives - MDF and chipboard. Sometimes the facades of furniture modules made of these materials are sheathed with plastic or veneer. Not so long ago, a new type of plastic appeared on the furniture market - acrylic.

Acrylic panel is glued to the base with a press.This method of attachment is considered to be quite durable and completely eliminates the detachment of acrylic or its cracking.

Also from the acrylic panels can be performed whole facades for kitchen cabinets. The thickness of this facade is quite thin - about 4 mm, but they are appreciated due to its strength. This is a very important quality in relation to the top cabinets - after all, they are most of all exposed to high temperatures.

Unlike ordinary plastic, acrylic begins to melt at a temperature of 160o C. And since such conditions are very rare for an ordinary kitchen, their use in the kitchen is considered appropriate. Sometimes the upper and lower cabinets differ in color. This option is often found just when finishing facades with acrylics. As you know, panels of this material have a glossy shiny surface, and in combination with bright hues can be very irritating to eyesight. Therefore, I often allow a combination of different colors in one kitchen. The main condition for this is that these shades are in harmony with each other.
