Refrigerators with a dry freezing

The evaporator in models with “No frost” technology is mounted behind the back wall of the refrigerator or above the freezer. It is equipped with fans, due to which the circulation of cold air flows. They are sent to a cooled evaporator. During the compressor stop, the heating element is turned on, and the frost thaws, and the moisture drains into the tray and evaporates. As a result of the operation of such a system, there is no ice on the walls of the refrigerator and freezer, and therefore there is no need to defrost it often.

• ensure uniform air temperature in all chambers, which has a beneficial effect on the safety of products;
• quickly restore the temperature when opening the refrigeration unit;
• for a long time to keep the temperature low in the chambers. For example, in the event of a power outage;
• do without defrosting up to six months.

Among the shortcomings can be noted:

• Due to the operation of the fans, there is increased noise. But if you change the tilt of the device, unwanted sound may stop;
• in comparison with other refrigerators, such mechanisms spend more electricity;
• relatively high cost;
• a small amount of internal space, since the evaporator takes up a lot of space;

Despite the fact that millions of users have appreciated the work of refrigerators with the automatic defrosting function “No Frost”, such models have many supporters and opponents. On the one hand, the owners of such devices note their ability to store products of high quality and ease of use. And also the fact that the care of this equipment requires a minimum of effort, because it does not need to be periodically defrosted. But there is a reverse opinion that all the refrigerators from “No frost” are very noisy, expensive and quickly break.

It should also be noted that the sanitary rate of noise in apartments in the daytime is up to 45 dB, and at night - up to 55 dB. This confirms that none of the listed refrigerators goes beyond what is permitted.
