Refrigerators with a dry freezing
Since time immemorial, people have sought to keep food fresh for as long as possible. In the course were any tricks: cellar, well, grid outside the window. Until the first refrigerators appeared, which markedly facilitated the life of their happy owners. Gone are the times, and today hostesses can choose the most modern and convenient models, such as refrigerators with dry freezing.
Over the years, refrigeration units have undergone many changes. Improved specifications, design, size, energy class. Now users can choose household appliances for any kitchen and wallet. But in refrigerators with the automatic defrosting function “No frost”, besides everything, even the problem of frost formation is solved.
Special features
Despite the fact that models with this technology appeared relatively recently, they managed to gain great popularity among the population. Indeed, in translation from English the name “No frost” means “Without Enea”,and the main task of such a system is to reduce the likelihood of a “snow coat” on the walls of the refrigerating and freezing compartments.
At the same time, products are cooled faster and more evenly than in a fridge with a drip freezing system. Fish, vegetables, berries, greens, frozen in this way perfectly preserve the taste, useful vitamins and minerals. Temperature fluctuations inside the mechanism do not exceed 2 ºC, while in drip “brethren” it can reach 5-6 ºC, and in the freezer it does 9 º. But the main difference between these mechanisms is that they do not need to be defrosted periodically, it is enough to turn them off 1-2 times in six months to wash.
Principle of operation
The evaporator in models with “No frost” technology is mounted behind the back wall of the refrigerator or above the freezer. It is equipped with fans, due to which the circulation of cold air flows. They are sent to a cooled evaporator. During the compressor stop, the heating element is turned on, and the frost thaws, and the moisture drains into the tray and evaporates. As a result of the operation of such a system, there is no ice on the walls of the refrigerator and freezer, and therefore there is no need to defrost it often.
Advantages and disadvantages
Refrigerators with a dry freezing compare favorably with their counterparts, as they are capable of:
- ensure uniform air temperature in all chambers, which has a beneficial effect on the safety of products;
- quickly restore the temperature when opening the refrigeration unit;
- for a long time to keep the temperature low in the chambers. For example, in the event of a power outage;
- do without defrosting up to six months.
Among the shortcomings can be noted:
- Due to the operation of the fans, there is increased noise. But if you change the tilt of the device, unwanted sound may stop;
- in comparison with other refrigerators, such mechanisms spend more electricity;
- relatively high cost;
- a small amount of internal space, since the evaporator takes up a lot of space;
- the air in the chambers of this model is drier. But this quality can be both a disadvantage and an advantage. After all, food is frozen without excess moisture and unpleasant odors. And food should be stored in containers or covered with food film.
Reviews
Despite the fact that millions of users have appreciated the work of refrigerators with the automatic defrosting function “No Frost”, such models have many supporters and opponents. On the one hand, the owners of such devices note their ability to store products of high quality and ease of use. And also the fact that the care of this equipment requires a minimum of effort, because it does not need to be periodically defrosted. But there is a reverse opinion that all the refrigerators from “No frost” are very noisy, expensive and quickly break.
But if you take, for example, a refrigerator Beko CN 327120then you can make sure that it is not. The noise level of this mechanism is only 40 dB, which allows it to be even in small apartments. And it consumes only 310 kW / h and costs an average of about 19,000 rubles. The second most popular is the refrigerator LG GA-B409 UEQA with a noise level of 42 dB, with energy consumption of class A (369 kW / h) and with an average cost of about 33,000 rubles. The third position in the ranking of the best-selling dry-frozen refrigerators holds LG GA-B489 YEQZ with a noise level up to 40 dB, with energy consumption of class A ++ (only 237 kW / h). There is such a unit on average about 45 000 rubles.
It should also be noted that the sanitary rate of noise in apartments in the daytime is up to 45 dB, and at night - up to 55 dB. This confirms that none of the listed refrigerators goes beyond what is permitted. And we should not lose sight of the fact that by buying household appliances of well-known companies in Russia, you can always find spare parts for them.
